First son, Daniel Hart Newlon is born in Bremerton, Washington Navy hospital.

Discharged from Navy.

Gets job with IRS in Dayton, Ohio.

Unsuccessful run for New Castle County Council. Ran as a Democrat in a highly Republican district and received more votes that Joe Biden.
March 15, 1973
Became Director of the Division of Central Data Processing for the State of Delaware . Du Pont loaned him to the state for a year. His efforts resulted in over $750,000 in savings over 3 years.
March 1, 1974

Appointed General Auditor for duPont de Nemours.
September 30, 1983

Retires from duPont de Nemours after 33 years of employment.
October 1983

Began bicycle trip across the US. In Texas returned to Wilmington to help with grandchildren.
1985
Began work as Financial Consultant to the Pennsylvania rafting company Whitewater Challengers.
June 1986

Received Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Yoga Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
September 2010
Celebrated 70th wedding anniversary.
December 2011
Completed his 41st semester as a yoga instructor at the University of Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning. The only class that he ever missed due to illness was in December 2011.
